FAQ
What is whole body cryotherapy?
Whole body cryotherapy (WBC) exposes your body to -200°F to -256°F for 2–3 minutes. It reduces inflammation, accelerates recovery, relieves pain, and boosts energy through your body's natural cold-shock response.
Is cryotherapy safe?
Yes. Cryotherapy is non-invasive, well-studied, and suitable for most healthy adults. Sessions are brief and professionally monitored. A health screening is completed before your first session.
How many sessions do I need?
Many clients notice improvement after one session. For sustained results — especially chronic pain or athletic recovery — a series of 10 sessions over 2–3 weeks is commonly recommended.
What should I wear?
Minimal clothing — underwear or athletic shorts. We provide gloves, socks, and slippers. All jewelry and metal accessories must be removed before entering the chamber.
Who should not use cryotherapy?
Not recommended for those who are pregnant, have uncontrolled hypertension, severe cardiovascular conditions, Raynaud's syndrome, or cold hypersensitivity. Our screening covers all contraindications.
Where exactly are you located?
Inside The Gorilla House Gym at 3200 Fairway Dr Suite 3, Altoona, PA 16602. On-site parking is available. Look for Suite 3 inside the gym complex.
